Tasting Australia

Ten days from late April to early May

Tasting Australia is South Australia's flagship eating and drinking festival, running ten days from late April. A free hub in Victoria Square anchors the program with fire pits, bars and kitchens, while ticketed dinners, masterclasses and producer events spread across Adelaide and the state's wine and food regions.

Around 90,000 people take part. South Australia's pitch is that it grows, makes and pours the country's best, and the festival is its annual proof: Barossa and McLaren Vale winemakers, Kangaroo Island producers and Adelaide's chefs all converge. Autumn timing means vintage has just finished and the regions are at their most generous.
