The route at a glance
The Perth–Broome corridor.
The Perth to Broome coach route runs the full length of Western Australia's Coral Coast, covering more than 2,200 km of Indian Ocean coastline from the state capital to the pearl-farming town of Broome on the edge of the Kimberley. Integrity Coachlines, a specialist WA regional operator, runs the full corridor. The route passes through Geraldton, Carnarvon, Coral Bay and Exmouth (gateway to Ningaloo Reef), Karratha and Port Hedland before reaching Broome. It is one of Australia's most dramatic long-distance coach journeys, traversing some of the country's most spectacular coastal landscape. The full trip takes around 32 to 36 hours.

Travel tips
What to know before you go.
Integrity Coachlines sells sector tickets, making it straightforward to stop at Exmouth for Ningaloo Reef, Coral Bay or Karratha and reboard a later service. A night stop at Exmouth or Carnarvon is worth planning if you are not in a hurry, as both towns reward a day's exploration. Book well ahead for travel between April and September (the dry season), when Broome and the Kimberley attract peak tourist numbers and coach capacity is limited. Pack sun protection and carry more water than you expect to need for rest stops in remote areas.
