Adelaide Cabaret Festival

The Adelaide Cabaret Festival is the largest festival of its kind in the world, filling the Adelaide Festival Centre with about two weeks of song, satire, torch and late-night variety each June. Since 2001 it has been curated by a rotating artistic director drawn from the industry's stars, each edition carrying its curator's stamp.

What to expect

Around 40,000 to 50,000 people attend across hundreds of performances, from headline international vocalists to emerging Australian acts in the intimate spaces. Winter is the right season for it: the Festival Centre's rooms, a late show and a warm bar afterwards make the festival's natural rhythm.
