- How much does it cost to hire a bus with a driver?
- It depends on the vehicle size, the distance, how long the driver is needed, and the date. Local minibus transfers are typically charged by the hour with a two to three hour minimum, while full-day coach charters are priced per day. Because every trip is different, the operator quotes your exact itinerary; there is no standard tariff.
- Does AusBus add fees or mark up the price?
- No. The operator quotes you directly at their own price and you book and pay them directly. AusBus may receive a referral commission from the operator for introducing the job; that never changes the price you pay. See our affiliate disclosure for how referrals work.
- What size vehicles can I request?
- Anything from a 7-seat minibus with a driver up to full-size coaches around 57 seats, including mid-size options in between. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available from many operators; mention accessibility needs in your enquiry so we only match operators who can provide one.
- How far in advance should I book?
- For peak dates such as November and December, event weekends and Saturday weddings, aim for two to three months ahead; vehicles genuinely sell out. Quieter periods can often be arranged within days. Last-minute requests are still worth sending; we will tell you honestly what is available.
- Which areas do you cover?
- We work with accredited charter operators in every Australian state and territory, in the capitals and many regional towns. If your pickup is somewhere remote we will tell you up front whether an operator can service it rather than leaving you guessing.
