City of Perth Australia Day Skyworks

Skyworks is Perth's Australia Day centrepiece and the city's biggest single-night event: a 30-minute fireworks display over Perth Water on the Swan River, watched by around 300,000 people from Langley Park, the South Perth foreshore and Kings Park. The display fires from barges and city rooftops, doubling the show in the river's reflection.
Families stake out picnic spots from early morning, and the foreshore fills with entertainment through the afternoon. The scale of the crowd is part of the spectacle; arrive early, bring shade and water, and plan your exit route before dark. January in Perth all but guarantees a warm, clear night.
