Fringe World Perth

Mid-January to mid-February (approx. 4 weeks)

Fringe World is Perth's open-access festival and one of the largest fringe festivals in the world, running about four weeks from mid-January. Northbridge is its heart, with the Pleasure Garden's tents and venues across the city hosting comedy, circus, cabaret, burlesque and late-night variety.

Attendances run to about 700,000, and the ticket prices stay deliberately low, so seeing several shows a week is normal Perth behaviour through January. The program spans international touring acts to first-time local performers, and the summer-evening garden venues are half the appeal.
