The route at a glance
The Gold Coast–Brisbane corridor.
Gold Coast to Brisbane is an 80-kilometre commuter run that takes around 1 hour 30 minutes via the M1 Pacific Motorway. Multiple operators including Greyhound, FlixBus, Con-X-ion and Premier run frequent daily services between Surfers Paradise and Brisbane Roma Street, making this one of the easiest intercity coach trips in Australia. The corridor is also the main bus connection from Gold Coast Airport (Coolangatta) to Brisbane.

Travel tips
What to know before you go.
If you are coming from Gold Coast Airport rather than Surfers Paradise, Con-X-ion runs the most direct service and drops at central Brisbane hotels. From Surfers Paradise, Greyhound is usually the best value. Avoid the 5pm to 7pm window heading north on weekdays; the M1 from Loganholme to the Gateway Bridge crawls in that period. Buy a Translink go card in Brisbane if you are connecting onwards by train; the Roma Street terminal is integrated with the rail network. The G:link light rail connects Surfers Paradise to the coach terminal, so you don't need a taxi from your hotel if you are staying along the strip.
