Woodford Folk Festival

27 December to 1 January (6 days)

The Woodford Folk Festival is one of the largest gatherings of artists and musicians in Australia, running six days from 27 December to 1 January on its own purpose-built site at Woodfordia. Some 2,000 performers play concerts, dances, talks, circus and ceremony across dozens of venues, closing each year with the fire event on New Year's Day eve.

Around 120,000 attendances and a tent city of campers make it a temporary town with its own streets, cafes and daily newspaper. The program's breadth is the draw: folk is the root, but the branches reach world music, science talks, comedy and late-night cabaret. Book camping with your ticket.
