The Sydney–Byron Bay corridor.
Sydney to Byron Bay is the classic east coast backpacker corridor: 800 kilometres along the Pacific Highway from Sydney Coach Terminal to Byron Bay's central transit stop on Jonson Street. Greyhound, Premier Motor Service and FlixBus all run overnight services that depart Sydney late evening and arrive in Byron between 6am and 9am, ready for breakfast on the beach. Daytime services are also available but most travellers prefer the overnight to save a hotel night.
