About this route
The Perth–Adelaide corridor.
Travel tips
What to know before you go.
If you want to cross the Nullarbor at ground level on public transport, the Indian Pacific train, run by Journey Beyond, is the only scheduled option on the full corridor; book months ahead for peak season. Flights are far quicker and often cheaper than the train. If you are driving, fuel and rest stops are a long way apart on the Eyre Highway, so plan each stage and carry water. And if you would rather make the crossing an adventure than just a transfer, multi day tag-along and small-group tours also run the Nullarbor and Eyre Highway, taking in the Great Australian Bight and the remote roadhouse stops along the way.
