Travel tips
What to know before you go.
If you are landing at Brisbane Airport and heading to Byron, the Brisbane2Byron direct shuttle is the fastest option: no transfer to Roma Street, no Airtrain. Book it before you fly, as the shuttle has limited daily capacity. From Brisbane CBD, any of Greyhound, FlixBus or Premier are good choices; check times rather than operator. The M1 between the Logan Motorway and Tweed Heads is generally fast, but Friday afternoon services southbound from Brisbane consistently run 30 minutes longer than schedule. If you are continuing south from Byron to Sydney, book the connecting service ahead; the Byron stop has limited capacity for walk-ons.
