Gold Coast 500

Last weekend of October (3 days)

The Gold Coast 500 closes out October with Supercars racing through the streets of Surfers Paradise, on a concrete-lined circuit that runs within metres of the beach. It is the championship's party round: around 200,000 fans across three days, grandstands against high-rise, and a beach-and-racing collision found nowhere else in the sport.

The track's chicanes and walls punish mistakes, so the racing carries genuine jeopardy. General admission gets you surprisingly close, with the beachfront sections offering the best value viewing. The precinct hums all weekend, and most of Surfers Paradise is walkable from the gates.
