Launceston, TAS · Summer
Festivale
Second weekend of February (3 days)
Festivale is northern Tasmania's signature summer event: three days of Tasmanian food, wine, cider, beer and entertainment in Launceston's City Park over the second weekend of February. Around 25,000 people wander the stalls under the park's century-old European trees, with live music running across the weekend.
The festival is deliberately Tasmanian in its produce, which makes it a genuine showcase of the state's north: Tamar Valley sparkling, cool-climate wines, cheeses and berries all within one gated park. February is Launceston's warmest, driest stretch, and evening sessions under the elms are the prime tickets.
