Darwin Festival

Darwin Festival runs 18 days each August, in the heart of the Top End dry season, with music, theatre, comedy, cabaret and visual arts across the city. Festival Park, its lantern-lit outdoor hub, fills each evening with bars, food stalls and free performance under the stars.

What to expect

Around 100,000 attendances make it northern Australia's biggest arts event, and its character is unmistakably Territorian: warm nights, outdoor venues and a program threaded with First Nations and Southeast Asian work reflecting Darwin's place in the region. August evenings around 25 degrees are the festival's secret weapon.
