Travel tips

What to know before you go.

Transwa SW1 is the only scheduled coach option, but it runs reliably and connects with Transwa's other south-west services at Bunbury. Book ahead during summer school holidays and Easter when the south west fills. The Australind train (currently suspended for fleet replacement) historically ran this corridor; check Transwa's website for service updates. Window seats on the right-hand side give you the best of the karri and jarrah forest sections south of Pinjarra. If you are continuing onwards to Margaret River wineries, plan the connection at Bunbury; onward services run only twice daily.
